In a world that emphasizes self-centered priorities and values, the teen
department at FIBC stands refreshingly different. It is not our goal to
merely entertain young people and give them whatever appeals to their
flesh. Rather, we desire to see our teens conformed into Christ-likeness with
godly priorities, biblical values, and servant hearts. Our teen Sunday school
class and Wednesday night teen service are specifically designed to teach,
challenge, and motivate the young people to follow Christ and the Bible.
Our young people are encouraged to participate in a wide range of
activities: service projects helping others; choir; soulwinning, etc. Of
course, our young people enjoy themselves. Whether it be the SNAC
(Sunday Night After Church) fun times, the activities included in the
Wednesday night teen service, or other scheduled trips and recreation, there
is no shortage of fun. However, fun is not our primary focus. Our primary
focus is Christ. We love young people and want to help them develop into
godly young adults that can and will be used by God in whatever way God
chooses. If you want your young person to grow in Christ, we would
welcome the opportunity to assist you in that process.
"Let no man despise thy youth; but
be thou an example of the believers...."
